The Wasabi Black series traces its origins to Japanese commercial kitchens. With a successful combination of consistent functionality and sharpness, robust material quality, and a sober, minimalist design, the series' numerous blade shapes are designed for uncomplicated, continuous use and offer impressive value for money. The series' easy-care handling is also thanks to the water-resistant plastic handle, whose pleasant feel is due to the addition of bamboo powder. The matte black handle and the shiny, polished 1K6 stainless steel blade are not inserted; instead, the handle completely encloses the blade, firmly connecting the blade to the handle and preventing dirt from accumulating.
The polished blades of the Wasabi Black series are made of newly developed, corrosion-resistant 6A/1K6 steel with a hardness of 56 (±1) HRC. This extensive series offers both double-edged and traditional Japanese single-edged blade shapes. The slightly curved blade spine allows for a secure grip while working, facilitating delicate rocking movements, for example.
The black plastic handle is water-resistant and therefore particularly robust. Its oval or chestnut-shaped form (depending on the blade size) has a pleasantly natural feel thanks to the addition of bamboo powder.
