The chef's knife is the European equivalent of the Asian Santoku knife. The blade is not as wide as the Santoku, but is sharper. It can be used to cut vegetables and herbs, as well as to butcher fish and meat. The elegant stainless steel handle with its seamless design meets the highest hygienic standards. The blade is made of 64 layers of particularly corrosion-resistant Damascus steel, which protect a core of V-Gold-10 steel. Its extreme hardness (61±-- HRC) ensures that the blade remains permanently sharp with proper care. Due to the wide blade, the large chef's knife has a convex grind. This makes the knife easier to handle and ensures long-lasting sharpness. The stainless steel handle and Damascus steel blade appear to be cast from a single piece and are therefore particularly easy to clean. To maintain the sharpness of the blade and to protect the knife from damage, we recommend cleaning it by hand with dish soap and hot water. Handle sharp knives with care. Not dishwasher safe.
