For the special Shun Premier Tim Mälzer series, KAI develops additional knives made of 32 layers of corrosion-resistant Damascus steel. The KAI Shun Premier Tim Mälzer series is refined with a hand-finished hammer finish, known in Japan as Tsuchime, thus combining ultimate sharpness with timeless aesthetics. The blades feature a solid core of VG MAX steel with a hardness of 61+/-1 HRC.
The Shun Premier Tim Mälzer series offers professional cutting tools from the Santoku to the bread knife, which will set new standards in the premium segment with their highest functionality and timeless design.
True to Tim Mälzer's premise, "A good knife not only makes work easier, but also helps you succeed," each of the carefully developed Damascus knives was meticulously tailored to its specific application by the Japanese blacksmiths from Seki City. Furthermore, thanks to the particularly symmetrical shape of their walnut handles, all shapes ensure precise cutting performance for both right- and left-handed users.
