Kai office knife 9 cm – Tim Mälzer series
The Kai paring knife from the Tim Mälzer series is a compact all-rounder for your daily kitchen tasks. Ideal for peeling, slicing, cleaning, and garnishing fruit and vegetables, but also excellent for preparing meat—for example, removing tendons or lard.
The blade is made of 32 layers of corrosion-resistant Damascus steel with a solid VG-10 core. The hand-finished hammer finish – known as Tsuchime – reduces friction when cutting and underscores the elegant design. The blade hardness of 61 ±1 HRC guarantees exceptionally high edge retention and precision in use.
The laminated walnut handle fits ergonomically in the hand and, thanks to its symmetrical shape, is suitable for both right- and left-handed users. Each knife is crafted with the utmost care by Japanese master blacksmiths in Seki City – for professional performance in a timeless design.
