The KAI Wasabi Black Limited Set 2025 is an exclusive, three-piece ensemble that combines Japanese precision with modern functionality. It includes a Santoku knife (16.5 cm) , a utility knife (15 cm) , and a high-quality KAI knife bag (46 × 16 × 7 cm) – perfect for those who value professional cutting performance and stylish storage.
The blades of the Wasabi Black series are made of newly developed, corrosion-resistant 6A/1K6 steel with a hardness of 58 (±1) HRC . They are double-beveled and, depending on the blade shape, some feature traditional single-bevel grinds. The slightly curved spine ensures a secure and stable grip – ideal for precise rocking motions or delicate cutting tasks.
The matte black plastic handle is water-resistant, durable, and, thanks to the addition of bamboo powder, pleasantly grippy with a natural feel. The handle construction completely encloses the tang, firmly anchoring the blade within the handle. This prevents dirt from accumulating between the handle and blade – ensuring maximum hygiene and longevity. The design combines functionality with minimalist Japanese aesthetics.
